Katsutoshi Arie is the Director of Information Business and Security at Seiko Electric Co., Ltd. and CEO of Seiko IT Solutions Co., Ltd. In 2010, he was appointed Chairman of the Fukuoka Ruby Business Hub Promotion Committee. Katsutoshi is now actively working to spread the word about Ruby while working on measures to improve product development and production using Ruby.

John Dillon – CEO, Engine Yard, Inc.

John has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions and has delivered several successful exits as CEO of well-known technology companies including and Hyperion as well as Navis, the leading provider of shipping logistics software. Prior to his CEO roles, John held sales management positions at Oracle and Arbor Software and was a systems engineer at EDS (Electronic Data Systems). John holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and began his career with a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, serving for five years as an engineer in the nuclear submarine service.

Derek Collison – CEO, Engine Yard, Inc.

Derek Collison is widely regarded as an expert in distributed and cloud computing systems. With tenures at VMware, Google, and TIBCO, he specializes in distributed systems architecture and high performance event based systems. His current focus is Cloud Computing and Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems such as Cloud Foundry, which he designed and architected.
