History of the Tea Ceremony and Demonstration by Mr. Tsuyoshi Maeda and Exhibition of Tea Pottery by Master Pottery Artist Shiro Hara.

This year in July, our program offered kenjinkai members, as well as non-members in the Japanese culture series is “Appreciation of Tea Ceremony and Maccha Tasting”.

Mr. Tsuyoshi Maeda, long time tea ceremony tools shop owner and is a tea master himself, will be lecturing and performing the Tea Ceremony.
There will also be fine tea potteries created by master pottery artist Mr. Shiro Hara that will be showcased in the Carlisle Community Room display cabinet.

The Carlisle, a senior living facility in Japan Town, has generously offered their Community Room for this special event.

Please join us for an afternoon of experiencing this opportunity to enjoy and learn the history and culture of Japanese Tea Ceremony.
